Departing from SPLIT
Your boat will be docked around LUKA SPLIT (the port of Split). See Google Map below:
Luka Split / Split Port is the main ferry harbour and port where the bus and train terminals are. As the ships are arranged differently every Saturday/ Tuesday according to directions from the Port Authority, we cannot give you a specific dock number so please refer to the map below for possible docking positions.
Your ship will have its name written on it (such as NOVI DAN, LE CORDEA etc). Most ships dock side by side and yours may be 2, 3 or 4 (or more!) boats back. To access your ship, please go onto the first boat and cross each one until you reach yours. Your ship will have a red GO CROATIA SAIL banner on one of its mast lines and a large sign on the side railings.
Where should I stay in Split?
Obviously, where you should stay will depend on your budget, preferred accommodation type and number of nights you will be in Split before the cruise departs.
However, almost everyone wants to be conveniently located close to where the boat will be docked. In that case, if you choose accommodation anywhere around the Old Town of Split (Diocletian’s Palace), the port, the bus station, or even the city beach area called Bacvice, then you will be within walking or short taxi ride to Split port.
Important: if you choose accommodation near ACI Marina then that is the wrong port and is on the other side of the city! ACI Marina is for small yachts, not mini-cruisers like your boat.
Have a look in the Booking.com search box below to find the right accommodation for you.
Departing from DUBROVNIK
Your boat will be docked around the LUKA GRUZ (the port of Gruz). See Google Map below:
Luka Gruz / Gruz Port is the main ferry harbour and port and is close to where the bus terminals is. Unlike Split, Gruz Port is NOT right next to the Old Town of Dubrovnik, which is a 15 min bus ride away. As the ships are arranged differently according to directions from the Port Authority, we cannot give you a specific dock number so please refer to the map below for possible docking positions.
Important: when Gruz port is overcrowded, your boat may be ordered to dock further up the port under the Tudjman bridge. Details of this location will be on your pre-departure document.
Your ship will have its name written on it (such as NOVI DAN, LE CORDEA etc). Most ships dock side by side and yours may be 2, 3 or 4 (or more!) boats back. To access your ship, please go onto the first boat and cross each one until you reach yours. Your ship will have a black GO CROATIA SAIL banner on one of its mast lines and a large sign on the side railings.
Where should I stay in Dubrovnik?
Obviously, where you should stay will depend on your budget, preferred accommodation type and number of nights you will be in Dubrovnik before the cruise departs.
Dubrovnik is different to Split in that accommodation near the Old City is usually in a more picturesque location but tends to be pricier. Gruz is not exactly picturesque but is convenient for your boat location and rates are a bit lower.
