Have you got all of your travel arrangements sorted for your sail?

Preparing for a cruise is all part of the excitement. However, ensuring you cross off every item on your cruise checklist before stepping onto the boat means you can truly switch off the moment you arrive.

To help you get organised for the perfect summer getaway, here is your quick-look travel essentials checklist of everything you need to lock in before departure.

Essential Items on Your Travel Essentials Checklist:

Passport (and Visa if Required)

It sounds obvious, but you should always double-check your documents. Some airlines and countries require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months from your date of return. Take a quick look at your expiry date now to ensure it’s fully valid for travel. This proactive check belongs at the top of any cruise checklist, giving you plenty of time to sort a renewal if necessary.

Travel Insurance

While we don’t make it obligatory for passengers to purchase travel insurance to cruise with us, it is strongly recommended on our cruise checklist. A comprehensive policy gives you total peace of mind while exploring coastal hotspots and Mediterranean islands. We encourage all passengers to consider purchasing insurance that meets your specific needs. Head over to our Travel Essentials hub to view options for insurance providers.

Money (Travel Money Card & Cash)

If you are joining us out on the water, you will need the right currency handy. For instance, Croatia’s currency is the Euro. While most local venues widely accept cards, small beach bars and traditional markets often prefer cash. We highly recommend adding a spare travel money card to your travel essentials checklist in case you lose your primary one. And always keep some physical cash as a secure backup.

eSIM

On the day of your departure, you will need a reliable internet connection to access the digital map location of your boat and check in with our crew. Standard roaming charges can add up quickly, so consider adding an eSIM to your travel essentials checklist to stay connected effortlessly while you travel. It’s a brilliant, cost-effective way to keep data running the second you land.

Accommodation (Pre and Post-Cruise)

This step is a vital addition to your cruise checklist. Because hotels and hostels book out incredibly quickly during the high season, do not leave it too late to book your stay!
