4-day Split to Dubrovnik one-way Croatia Sail
Every Sat, Aug & Sep 2020, Jun to Sep 2021

SPLIT - MAKARSKA - MLJET - DUBROVNIK

This itinerary is completely unique to us - we are the ONLY company operating shorter Croatia sails. This one-way cruise starts in Split and spends the first night in Makarska, the location of the famous "rave in a cave" at Club Deep. The next day is all about enjoying the stunning island of Mljet, with its National Park and network of lakes. We finish with a night in Dubrovnik - the jewel on the Adriatic coast.
The itinerary is designed to give you the best of both worlds: nights out and parties, with sightseeing, a National Park and plenty of swimming and relaxing during the day, There are also excursion options and events in the evenings.

With our experienced, fun crew, like-minded shipmates (choose between an 18-39 age-range or mixed-age boat) and a choice of different category ships (see OUR BOATS), you are in the right hands for the trip of a lifetime!

Split to Makarska

Jump on board and meet your Captain, crew and shipmates! Check-in is from 11am to 12pm and we aim to depart Split for Makarska at around 1pm and get the socialising started with lunch and a much-needed swim stop.

We get into Makarska late in the afternoon, giving you time to go around the town, grab a gelato and have dinner in one of the many restaurants, pizzerias and tavernas that line the promenade. The most popular way to spend the night is at the famous Club Deep, also known as the "Rave in a Cave". Say no more.....

Makarska to Mljet

Our boat leaves early for the crossing to Mljet Island. After lunch, we will dock in either Pomena or Polace and have the rest of the afternoon free to explore this island's stunning National Park and its lakes.

There are several options for this exploration: hire a bike for a few hours and pedal your way around the lakes' excellent cycle paths, hire a kayak for paddle-power or simply go for a hike. We also offer an optional onboard BBQ this evening (either in Mljet or we might head over to Slano or Sipan island) as the setting is perfect.

Optional excursions: Entrance to Mljet National Park (approx 110 kunas), bike or kayak hire (from 40 kunas), Captain's BBQ (approx 100 to 150 kunas, depending on inclusions)

Mljet (or Slano/Sipan) to Dubrovnik

With some gorgeous bays around Mljet, Slano and Sipan, we are spoilt for choice for a swim stop this morning. We then cross to Dubrovnik through the Elaphite archipelago of islands - a truly amazing sight.

We arrive in Dubrovnik in the early afternoon, which gives you time for some must-dos, including a sunset walk around the famous walls and sampling a cocktail at one of the cliff bars as you watch the sun go down.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in and around the Old City, as well as events at clubs such as Revelin.

Optional excursions: (1) Dubrovnik is also the setting for the capital city of Westeros, Kings Landing, in Game of Thrones. If you are a fan, why not take a walking tour of the locations of the most famous scenes in the ultra-popular show and get an overview of the history of Dubrovnik at the same time? If you are not a GOT fan then we also have a dedicated Dubrovnik Historical Walk that focuses on the city's non-fictional history.

(2) Close to where your boat docks in Gruz port, there is a secluded beach with a 250-metre long ZIPLINE! We can arrange transfer there and back, with a zipline ride (or 2!) included in the excursion.

Dubrovnik

Check-out from your cabin is after breakfast, by 10am, but you can leave your bags on the boat as there is still plenty to see and do!

We recommend: (1) Doing the awesome buggy tour - you are taken to Mount Srd to get a bird's eye view of the Old City and Elaphite Isles before driving an off-road buggy around the mountain. Unmissable!

(2)Taking a cable car ride up to Mount Srd for the most incredible view imaginable (note: buggy trip takes you past same cable car station for same view).

(3) Dubrovnik is also the setting for the capital city of Westeros, Kings Landing, in Game of Thrones. If you are a fan, why not take a walking tour of the locations of the most famous scenes in the ultra-popular show and get an overview of the history of Dubrovnik at the same time?

(4)  Take a shuttle boat over to Lokrum Island from the Old City.

Wish your shipmates a fond farewell, enjoy Dubrovnik and reflect on an incredible few days!

Optional excursions: Buggy Safari and/or Game of Thrones+Dubrovnik Walking Tour

Q: What time is check-in and boat departure in Split on day 1 (Saturday)?
A: Check-in is from 11am to 12pm(noon). We aim to depart from Split at 1pm.
Q: What time does the trip finish?
A: The boat docks into Dubrovnik on Monday afternoon and then overnights in Dubrovnik. Breakfast is from 7.30am onwards on the Tuesday and check-out must then be completed by 9am (unless you are donig the buggy safari in the morning).
Q: What are the sleeping arrangements in the cabins?
A: Most of our cabins can be suited to couples who would prefer a double, or twin beds (2 separate beds) for friends who don't wish to share a bed. Please let us know your preference in advance - we can't always match your preference but we try to as best we can according to the configuration of travelers.
Q: What about triple cabins, for 3 friends in one cabin?
A: Three friends can share one cabin - 1 person in a separate bed and 2 in a double bed. There is a 5% discount on each passenger's space for triple-sharing.
Q: What is the arrangement for solo travellers?
A: Solo travellers would have to share a cabin with another solo traveller or third person from another group. We try to match people up according to gender, but this is not always possible due to passenger configurations. There is always the option of a single supplement as well (see below).
Q: If I don't want to share my cabin, can I pay a single supplement?
A: Yes, you can pay a single supplement. Our single supplement is 50% extra. You must book your single cabin in advance.
Q: What is the difference between 18-39s cruises and Mixed-age cruises?
A: As the name suggests, our 18-39s cruises are for people in that age bracket, although we do sometimes make exceptions, for example, if a couple has one person in 20s/30s and the other in 40s. Mixed-age cruises are for people over 39, families (people over 39 travelling with children in their 20s, or teenagers for example) or people who want a cruise that is "less lively" than an 18-39s cruise. The youngest age acceptable on a mixed age is 10, and oldest is 59.
Q: What are the bathroom arrangements?
A: Every cabin has its own ensuite bathroom as standard. Our A-Category boats have a shower and toilet in a wet room style, whereas our A-Extra and Premier Plus boats have a separate fitted shower in the ensuite.
Q: What about the air-conditioning arrangements?
A: Every cabin has its own air-conditioning unit. The air-conditioning can be switched on or off as you please.
Q: What is the difference between above deck and below deck cabins?
A: Above deck is on the main deck and lower deck is in the hull of the boat. There are advantages and disadvantages to both - lower deck cabins are more peaceful at night as you do not have other passengers walking past your cabin as much as the above deck cabins. Above deck cabins are brighter with more natural ventilation and most open out onto the sea.
Q: What food is included?
A: You will have 2 meals everyday which consists of a continental breakfast (bread, spreads, with varieties of fruit, yoghurt, sausages etc throughout the week), and 3-course lunch (soup to start, followed by meat/fish/pasta/rice dish and a dessert).
Q: What if I am vegetarian or have other special dietary requirements, how can you help me?
A: Please tell us about your special dietary requirements before your cruise starts and our onboard cook will do their best to cater for them.
Q: Can I bring my own food and drink on board?
A: You can't bring your own food on board, apart from for special dietary requirements. This also applies to drink: drinks are not allowed to be brought on board (including water) as the boat runs its own bar on a tab system.
Q:Can I pay for my bar tab by credit card?
A: Our boats do not have card facilities onboard. All payments for your bar tab can be made only by cash locally on your last day before you check out of the boat. The cash payment can be done in Croatian Kuna, Euro, or a mixture of the two.
Q:How many people will be on my boat?
A: Between 25 to 38 passengers, with 4 or 5 crew members.
Q:What nationalities and ages are on board?
A: Most of our guests are aged between 18 and 39, with the majority falling in the twenties and early thirties bracket. They are from English-speaking countries (UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ, South Africa, Canada, USA), EU countries (mostly Western Europe) and others such as Israel and Brazil. We also have special 39+ age-group cruises running every year.
Q:What if I miss, or am going to be late for the boat's departure?
A: Please let us know as soon as you can and we will advise you on where to catch up with the boat.
Q:How much spending money should I bring?
A: Personal spending money amounts obviously vary from person to person but as a general rule around Euro 25 to Euro 30 per day can cover additional meals, drinks off the boat, ice-creams and optional entrances.
Q: Do I have to have any insurance?
A: We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance before you go.
Q: Are there any power sockets on board?
A: Our boats have power sockets in the cabins and in the salon area. They are European 2-pin sockets so don't forget your adaptors if you need them!
Q: How do I get to Split?
A: We have a whole page on our website dedicated to getting to Croatia and Split. Please click on it here.
Q: Are there towels provided on board?
A: Some bathroom towels are provided but you should definitely bring your own beach towels.
