8-DAY SPLIT RETURN TENNIS CRUISE
Our cruise consists of four tennis sessions over an 8-Day cruise to ensure plenty of opportunities to get in some good court time as well as experience everything else Croatia has to offer. From Palaces and walled cities to mouth-watering cuisine and locally produced fine wine, plus so much more.
Croatians are incredibly passionate about sport! The country has produced countless tennis stars. We play at a mixture of tennis centres that range from WTA tournament hosts, to more local affairs. All of the courts are clay and most have a view that will take your breath away! Overlooking mountain ranges, cliffs and open sea, this really is tennis unlike anything you’ve played before.
Just remember to keep your eye on the ball!

Itinerary
Split (Trogir) to Brač Island
We will depart Trogir at around 12.30pm to 1pm and tuck straight into lunch (2 shifts) while we head for Brač Island. We will go around the north of the island and our Captain will find a nice bay for us to have a quick swim-stop.
We then head towards a town on the south of the island called Bol. We will dock at about 5pm and we will need to be ready in our tennis gear as our transfers will be there at 5.15pm to take us to the tennis centre for our first tennis session at a centre that regularly features on the WTA and ITF circuit!
Tennis will be from 5.45pm to 7.45pm. Afterwards, there is no transfer back to the boat as the tennis centre is an easy walk along a lovely promenade back to our boat. The centre is also next to the sea so you can bring a swimming costume and jump straight into the Mediterranean after running around the courts! In the evening, enjoy and explore the gorgeous little town of Bol, which boasts a few decent restaurants and some lovely cocktail bars.
Overnight: Bol.
Brač Island to Mljet/Šipan Islands
The boat will depart quite early from Bol (around 7am) but you can sleep in after perhaps indulging in one too many cocktails in Bol! Breakfast is served from around 8am during cruising. We will have a longer swim-stop around Korčula Island, where lunch will also be served. We will reach Mljet Island mid to late afternoon and we strongly recommend entering the island’s National Park to either rent-a-bike to explore the trails, hiking around the lakes or renting a kayak. Entrance to the lake also includes a boat trip over to a monastery located on one of the lakes inside the National Park. Whatever you choose, the lake area is stunning. We will then motor over to Šipan islands, hopefully to catch one of its legendary sunsets. A dinner complements a sunset nicely and we will have already offered you an onboard Captain’s Grilled Mixed Dinner for this evening (around 25 Euros depending on inclusions – added to your tab).
Overnight: Šipan.
Šipan to Slano to Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is not only a beautiful destination – it is no longer any kind of a secret! We will have a swim-stop after breakfast around Šipan before tucking into lunch near Slano. This is our disembarkation point for the optional excursion: the Great Wall of Ston and Oyster tasting! Includes: Transfers from drop off point (Slano) after lunch. Guided tour of Ston Walls. Small boat trip to haul in fresh oysters. Oyster-tasting and glass of wine. Transfer back to the boat which will have moved on to Dubrovnik (Gruz port). We need minimum of 12 people for this trip to go ahead so please let me know if you wish to do it by email! Price: £45. We arrive in Gruz port in time to explore the old town if desired. Take a bus from Gruž Port to Pile Gate – the main entrance to the Old town. Buses number 1A, 1B or 3 – tickets cost around 2 Euros one-way or 5 Euros for a daily ticket.
We recommend enjoying the Old Town at night and leaving the city wall tour until tomorrow as you have another whole day in this amazing city!
Overnight: Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik
Lots of options for today!
After breakfast, you can return to the Old City or do our guided Game of Thrones and historical walking tour of the city (walls not included) – price is 25 Euros and lasts around 1.5 hours.
You can also explore the city walls that surround the city – 2 kilometres of one of Europe’s strongest and most beautiful fort systems – the main attraction for tourists in Dubrovnik.
Five fortresses – St. Lawrence and Revelin along with three others incorporated into the wall system: Minčeta Tower, Fort Bokar and St. John’s Fortress – give an unforgettable view over the medieval city. Finally, you can also take the cable-car up to Srd hill to enjoy the spectacular views – the best place in Croatia to enjoy a beer! We have another afternoon of tennis today. Pick up is from the boat at 4.30pm to be transferred to a tennis centre in Lapad, about 10 mins drive away. Tennis is from 4.45pm to around 6.45pm. Transfer back to the boat at 7pm.
Overnight: Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik to Korčula
We will leave early today to ensure we can get a swim-stop in a secluded bay en route to Korčula Island. Local legend has it that Marco Polo was born in Korčula Town (don’t argue with a local on this point) and his house makes an interesting visit. The centre of town is dominated by the splendid St Mark’s Cathedral. The Gothic Renaissance style is superb and the interior features Pietà by Ivan Meštrović, Croatia’s most famous sculptor.
The town museum is an interesting excursion into Korčula’s history, particularly its display of Korčula stone carving and the Byzantine icons in the Icon Museum are worth a look.
Optional Excursion: the island of Korčula and her neighbouring peninsula, Pelješac are famous for their wines – both red and white. Enjoy a wine-tasting session with us – 4 wines (with some local cheeses thrown in for good measure) for 35 Euros.
Overnight: Korčula.
Korčula to Makarska
Once more, after breakfast we will have a swim stop as we cruise from Korčula island to the mainland, arriving into Makarska around 4pm. We have a special tennis treat awaiting us in this lovely town – a delightful tennis centre with clay courts right next to the beach!
Transfer to the tennis centre around 4.30pm. Return transfer at 7pm with the chance to get refreshed and have dinner at one of the many beachside restaurants along Makarska’s famous promenade.
Overnight: Makarska.
Makarska to Split (Trogir)
We will arrive in Trogir after lunch, where our transfer vehicles will take us to a tennis centre near Trogir or Split. This venue features a quadrant of courts that are perfect for an end-of-cruise tournament. Each doubles match will be timed, and players will switch partners after each round, recording their scores each time. The player with the best accumulation of games (games won versus games lost) will win a prize!
After the tournament, we will return to the boat to change and then enjoy an evening in Trogir. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Trogir offers a captivating labyrinth of narrow, cobbled streets filled with charming bars, tavernas, and boutique shops.
Take a leisurely stroll along the Trogir port promenade, the social hub of the evening, and choose from various restaurants and bars for dinner. Grab a farewell drink with your shipmates and reminisce about the trip’s highlights (and any missed volleys!). We will spend the night on the boat at Trogir Port.
Overnight: Trogir.
