Departs: Saturday 8 June 2019
Route: Split - Brac - Vis - Hvar - Korcula - Makarska - Omis - Split
Price: £599 for the cruise, plus £100 tennis supplement

We are the ONLY travel company in the world with this UNIQUE cruise!  It is the perfect way to combine seeing the Croatian islands and coast, playing tennis at some of the best clubs and courts in Dalmatia, and having a relaxing, semi-active holiday in one of the most beautiful countries in Europe.

The cruise starts in Split (well-served by budget flights from Bristol and London) and visits some of the best islands and attractions on the Croatian coast, including Brac Island, Hvar Island, Korcula, Vis Island and Makarska. 4 afternoons of tennis are included, making the trip a balance between an active holiday and sheer relaxation.

The perfect holiday for lovers of the Mediterranean, tennis, cruises, cocktails and great company, whilst also being suitable for partners and friends who are not tennis players.

As an overview the price includes:
- 7 nights accommodation on board
- Half-board meals (breakfast and lunch)
- Unlimited drinking water every day
- 4 afternoons of tennis in Brac, Hvar, Makarska and Split
- Transfers to tennis courts, tennis balls
- Onboard English and Croatian-speaking, tennis-playing guide

Day 1

Split to Brac Island

Your guide will meet you at Split airport and we will all board the airport shuttle bus to Split port, where our boat awaits. After welcome speeches and introduction to your friendly crew, we have lunch and depart!

The first destination is Bol, a gorgeous town on the south of Brac Island, for our first tennis session. Bol's tennis club is famous for hosting the WTA tour Bol Open (previous winners include former world no.2 and Wimbledon runner-up Vera Zvonareva). The courts are right next to the sea, so why not get refreshed with a dip right after a coupe of hours on the clay?

It's an easy, pleasing stroll from the courts to the boat, where we can get changed and take our pick of restaurants and cocktail bars in Bol's magical old town!

Day 2

Brac Island to Vis Island

After breakfast, our boat will have a swim stop at a bay chosen by our knowledgeable Captain. Time for swimming costumes, snorkels and inflatables!

After lunch we will dock in Vis Island, which is one of the most unotuched of the inhabited islands due to the fact it was a military zone during the Yugoslav years, meaning no tourists were allowed there for nearly 50 years! We have the option of a Vis military tour in the afternoon.

In the evening, we have the option of an onboard BBQ!

Overnight Vis.

Day 3

Vis Island to Blue Cave to Hvar Island (Jelsa or Vrboska)

We leave Vis in the morning and (weather permitting!) we head for another nearby island called Bisevo. This island is home to the famous Blue Cave, where an ethereal blue glow from the seawater is created when sunlight hits the cave in the morning. We will have the opportunity to enter this cave in a dinghy and see this natural phenomenon!

After lunch we cruise to Hvar Island - one of the island jewels of the Adriatic. In the late afternoon we will have another tennis session before returning to the boat to get changed and enjoy an evening here at either Jelsa or Vrboska - 2 harbour towns that have several bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from...

The evening is free for everyone to seek out a favourite spot for the evening, explore the cobbled streets and revel in the atmosphere.

Overnight on Hvar Island.

Day 4

Hvar Island to Korcula

We leave Hvar Island in the morning to make the crossing over to Korcula Island, leaving our Captain to find a lovely bay for a swim and lunch..

We dock in Korcula in the early afternoon, with the rest of the day ahead of us to explore this Venetian gem of an old town.

Last year, everyone raved about the wine-tasting in Korcula so we are offering this excursion again here. Sample 5 wines (reds, whites, rose and local prosecco) from this islands and the neighbouring penninsula of Peljesac.

Overnight Korcula.

Day 5

Korcula to Makarska

Our boat leaves early for the crossing to Makarska, with another swim-stop in a secluded bay on the way.

Upon arrival to Makarska, we have a couple of hours free time to wander the promenades that characterise this coastal town (great ice-creams and cakes to be had here!) and perhaps find a souvenir or two..

In the late afternoon we have another tennis session at the wonderful Makarska Tennis Centre. After the session we have the option of a BBQ and a few beers at the centre, to celebrate another memorable day! Overnight Makarska.

Day 6

Makarska to Omis

It's goodbye to Makarska and hello Omis!

This town is small, but has a lot to offer. Firstly, if you fancy seeing a "proper" Croatian beach then the city beach has a long stretch of sand and pebbles that has seawater on one side and fresh water from the river Cetina on the other.

Omis was known as the home of a notorious band of pirates who became the scourge of this part of the Adriatic. The pirates' fortress base that overlooks the town is well worth a visit as well. In the evening, we usually have a fancy-dress party on the boat. The theme? Nautical, of course! Overnight Omis.

Day 7

Omis to Split

This morning is dedicated to our final chance to have a swim at a beach or 2 between Omis and Split.
After lunch we will leave the boat near Split and be transferred to Stobrec, a village close to the city. This village has a tennis club, which although it does not have as spectacular a setting as the other centres on the cruise, is perfect for a round-robin Prosecco tournament!

We will have a scoreboard in the middle of the courts and tally up everyone's total number of games per 20-min session. The winner gets a small trophy and a bottle of Prosecco!

Transfer back to Split to enjoy the last evening together on the boat and in Split's spectacular Diocletian's Palace. Overnight Split

Day 8

Split - disembarkation

After breakfast, we have to check out by 9am and say farewell to our crew and shipmates.

While many people will be flying home that day, it doesn't have to be the end of the adventure, as we recommend staying in Croatia longer to explore further afield to other amazing destinations nearby, including Plitvice Lakes, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Krka National Park!

Q: What flights should we book?
A: Most of the people booking this tour will be travelling from Bristol or London so we strongly recommend booking the Saturday 8 June 2019 EASYJET flight that goes from Bristol Airport or London Gatwick to Split. These are the flights that the Guide will be meeting at Split Arrivals. You can then take the return flight the following Saturday, or choose to stay longer in Croatia if you wish. Please let us know if you plan to take any flights from other airports or if you wish to fly in a day or 2 before the cruise departure day.
Q: What time will the boat depart from Split on day 1 (Saturday)?
A: The boat will depart at around 12.30pm.
Q: Is the cruise fully guided?
A: Yes, you will have a Croatian/English-speaking tour leader to take you to the tennis centres and provide information about each destination and Croatia in general. By law, he/she can orientate you around every destination, but is not allowed to give you an in-depth guided walk around Old Towns such as in Korcula or Split.
Q: I am a solo traveller, can I pay a single supplement?
A: Yes, you can pay single supplement - it is 50% of the cruise cost. You must also book your single cabin in advance.
Q: What food is included?
A: Breakfasts and lunches are included every day. Dinners can be taken in each destination at local restaurants and one evening we offer an optional BBQ onboard (costs around 110 to 140 kuna).
Q: What if I am vegetarian or have other special dietary requirements, how can you help me?
A: You should tell us about your special dietary requirements before the cruise starts and we can ensure that the meals are more suited to your requirements.
Q: What surface are the tennis courts?
A: They are all clay courts.
Q: How are the tennis sessions organised?
A: We will be organising the first two tennis sessions in the round-robin formats used in the David Lloyd clubs in Long Ashton and Westbury. These round robins suit players at an intermediate level. The third session will be proper 3-set doubles or singles sessions, organised according to abilities decided by the Guide.  The fourth and final session will be a tournament, also in a round robin format.
Q: My partner or friend(s) want to come on the trip but they don't play tennis. Can they come?
A: Yes, they can - they are very welcome! This type of cruise is mainly sold as a cruise-only trip in Croatia anyway. There is so much to see and do when the others are playing tennis that it is the perfect trip for a tennis player + his/her partner or friends. The price would be £100 GBP LESS for non-tennis players.
Q: Do I have to have any insurance?
A: We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance before you go, as with any holiday.
Q: Are there towels provided?
A: You will be provided with bathroom towels at the start of the cruise but we recommend bringing your own beach towels.
