TENNIS CRUISE CROATIA
8-day Tennis Cruise
North Dalmatia Route
DAY ONE
Split to Trogir
Your guide will either meet you at Split airport and we will all board the airport shuttle bus to Split port, or you may already be in Split, where our boat awaits. After welcome speeches and introduction to your friendly crew, we have lunch while departing!
After a quick swim stop to get refreshed, the first destination is Trogir, a wonderful old city north Split, for our first tennis session from around 4.30pm to 6.30pm. The courts are right next to the sea, so enjoy the views while spending a couple of hours on the clay!
It’s an easy transfer back to the boat after the session to enjoy the evening in Trogir and find a restaurant in the winding cobbled streets of the old city.
Overnight Trogir.
DAY TWO
Trogir to Primosten
After breakfast, our boat will have a swim stop at a bay chosen by our knowledgeable Captain. Time for swimming costumes, snorkels and inflatables!
After lunch we will dock in Primosten, one of the loveliest towns in the region, perched on its own little peninsula. You are free to explore the town in the afternoon or join us at the Prgin Winery for a sunset wine-tasting and nibbles session!
Overnight Primosten.
DAY THREE
Primosten to Sibenik
With another swim-stop between breakfast and lunch to wash away the wine-tasting effects, we dock into Sibenik in the afternoon, with time to see some local sites (such as the famous cathedral and monastery garden) before playing tennis together at Sibenik’s local club (Subicevac). There is no shortage of bars and eateries to choose from on this town’s promenade to celebrate superb volleys or commiserate missed break points!
Overnight Sibenik.
DAY FOUR
Sibenik to Kornati
We leave Sibenik in the morning to make the crossing over to the Kornati Islands, one of the most stunning archipelagos in Europe, and a National Park. Admire the islands described by George Bernard Shaw thusly: On the last day of the Creation, God desired to crown his work and thus created the Kornati islands out of tears, stars and breath.
We have a chance to explore part of the National Park in the afternoon, followed by an onboard mixed grill in the evening (optional).
Overnight in the Kornati Islands.
DAY FIVE
Kornati to Zadar
Our boat leaves early for the crossing back over to the mainland, reaching Zadar in the afternoon. Of course, with a swim stop in a secluded bay on the way.
Upon arrival to Zadar, we have a couple of hours free time to wander the gorgeous city before another tennis session from around 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Overnight Zadar.
DAY SIX
Zadar to Krka National Park to Vodice/Zlarin
A couple of options this morning. You can choose to do the Krka Waterfall Park excursion, whereby the bus picks us up from the boat after breakfast and takes us to the National Park, then meets up with the boat in Vodice after the excursion. Or you can stay on board and enjoy the day’s cruising…..
Overnight in Vodice or we might have time to hop over to Zlarin.
DAY SEVEN
Vodice/Zlarin to Split
An early start from Vodice as we head back south to Split.
After breakfast we stop for a swim-stop around Primosten, where the tennis players will be dropped off after lunch for a transfer to the Trogir tennis centre for the final tennis session from around 4pm to 6pm, before being transferred back to Trogir.
We dock up back in Split in the afternoon to enjoy the last day and evening together on the boat in Split’s stunning setting. Overnight Split.
DAY EIGHT
Split – disembarkation
After breakfast, we have to check out by 9.00am and say farewell to our crew and shipmates.
While many people will be flying home that day, it doesn’t have to be the end of the adventure, as we recommend staying in Croatia longer to explore further afield!

FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
Most of the people booking this tour will be travelling from Bristol or London so we strongly recommend booking the Saturday 8 June 2019 EASYJET flight that goes from Bristol Airport or London Gatwick to Split. These are the flights that the Guide will be meeting at Split Arrivals. You can then take the return flight the following Saturday, or choose to stay longer in Croatia if you wish. Please let us know if you plan to take any flights from other airports or if you wish to fly in a day or 2 before the cruise departure day.
The boat will depart at around 12.30pm.
Yes, you will have a Croatian/English-speaking tour leader to take you to the tennis centres and provide information about each destination and Croatia in general. By law, he/she can orientate you around every destination, but is not allowed to give you an in-depth guided walk around Old Towns such as in Korcula or Split.
Yes, you can pay single supplement – it is 50% of the cruise cost. You must also book your single cabin in advance.
Breakfasts and lunches are included every day. Dinners can be taken in each destination at local restaurants and one evening we offer an optional BBQ onboard (costs around 110 to 140 kuna).
You should tell us about your special dietary requirements before the cruise starts and we can ensure that the meals are more suited to your requirements.
They are all clay courts.
We will be organising the first two tennis sessions in the round-robin formats used in the David Lloyd clubs in Long Ashton and Westbury. These round robins suit players at an intermediate level. The third session will be proper 3-set doubles or singles sessions, organised according to abilities decided by the Guide. The fourth and final session will be a tournament, also in a round robin format.
Yes, they can – they are very welcome! This type of cruise is mainly sold as a cruise-only trip in Croatia anyway. There is so much to see and do when the others are playing tennis that it is the perfect trip for a tennis player + his/her partner or friends. The price would be £100 GBP LESS for non-tennis players.
We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance before you go, as with any holiday.
You will be provided with bathroom towels at the start of the cruise but we recommend bringing your own beach towels.
