Where will my Go Croatia Sail boat be docked in Dubrovnik?
Gruz Port, Dubrovnik’s main port for motor yachts, cruises, and ferries
Departing from DUBROVNIK
Your boat will be docked around LUKA GRUZ (the port of Gruz). See Google Map below:
Luka Gruz serves as the main ferry harbour and port for Dubrovnik. It’s conveniently located near the city’s bus terminals, making it a key transportation hub. However, it’s crucial to note that unlike the port in Split, Gruz Port is not directly adjacent to Dubrovnik’s iconic Old Town. You’ll need to factor in a short, approximately 15-minute bus ride to reach the historic centre.
Due to the dynamic nature of port operations, the precise docking location within Gruz Port can vary. The Port Authority dictates ship arrangements, meaning a specific dock number cannot be provided in advance. To get a general idea of potential docking positions, it’s advisable to consult a map of Gruz Port.
Your ship will have its name written on it (such as NOVI DAN, LE CORDEA etc). Most ships dock side by side and yours maybe 2, 3 or 4 (or more!) boats back. To access your ship, please go onto the first boat and cross each one until you reach yours. Your ship will have a red GO CROATIA SAIL banner on one of its mast lines and a large sign on the side railings.
Where should I stay in Dubrovnik?
Where you should stay will depend on your budget, preferred accommodation type, and number of nights you will be in Dubrovnik before the cruise departs.
Most travellers want to be conveniently located close to where the boat will be docked. In that case, if you choose accommodation anywhere around Gruz Port you will be close to the boat. If you choose accommodation in or near the Old Town of Dubrovnik, then you will be just a short taxi ride to Gruz Port!
